The best bread recipe I’ve found in three years. I used a bread machine and followed the liquid first and then flour routine. I used 2 1/2 cups of all purpose flour. Fantastic results.

WOW!! This was a great recipe! I’m pretty new at bread baking, but I decided to try it (since Fast Food is just too expensive now). I made my husband a BMT sub for dinner; he said it was better than Subway’s! Need I say more?!

In reply to Pat Mason. I know I'm late commenting on this but you can buy the same bread forms that subway uses on Amazon for $10. I just bought one, that'll help them from spreading all over and you only let the dough rise in the form until it's about 2 inches from the top of the form, the width will fill the whole form up, bake it per recipe

I’m in love with this recipe. I have never had success making breads but yesterday we were having French Dips and I forgot to get rolls. I made these buns with zero expectation of it being edible, I never get it right. Then, my toddler was in turbo-destruction mode, and i kinda forgot about it rising the first time that was only supposed to be 30 min. Yeah, i forgot it for like 4 hours. It was nice and fluffy though! Followed through with the rest of the recipe as if i hadn’t just ruined the first rise. I made buns, did an egg wash and sprinkled the Everything Asiago Seasoning, they were flippin delicious!!! Perfect!!! My husband and I were like kids in a candy shop. This is the only bread recipe I’ll ever use.

The recipe turned out very well. Soft and fluffy but still holds whatever stuffing you put in. Family and friends loved it.

Did everything to a T.
1x recipe, cut into 4. These turned into baguettes. And not sub buns. Would be better for cheese sticks. Usually breads easy for me.
I assume 2x the recipe for 4 loaves. Will try that before disregarding the recipe.

I just made this recipe last night an it it worked exactly how you described it, my kids really loved these buns, they were soft an didn’t fall apart, I lost some veggies but that’s because I packed them lol I will keep making these thank you for sharing 🙂
