i tried a small amount version of this and it was good. it’s so fresh and you can adjust saltiness and tangy-ness. my first time to make my own pickles. i also added ginger.

Thank you for this recipe. This has become one of my favorite table pickled cucumber recipes. It is easy to put together and is very popular, I do not have to worry how long they will stay fresh in my refrigerator.

I made this recipe from cucumbers in my garden. I made 2 days before a women’s potluck. They enjoyed them so much, some took a containerful home. I put 2T raw sugar & some pepper also. The women said they were the best pickled cucumbers they ever had. The longer they sit, the better they are. Nice easy way to use extra cucumbers

I’ve used this recipe many times with success. You may not be slicing your cucumbers thin enough, your vinegar may not be the right kind, or you may be expecting results like a traditional pickle, which this is not. These are not supposed to be like what you usually buy in a jar in the store.

I added garlic, chili pepper flakes, dill, mustard seed, black pepper corns, boiled it let it cool, put veg in, next day perfection! Lovely base! We ate them all up.

I love this old-fashioned recipe to use our plentiful garden cucumbers. I made minor adjustments with the ratio of sugar & salt, and added some dill, as well as a smashed garlic clove. It definitely improves day after day 😋
